Gaius E-mobility Rapide 3 is winner of the iF DESIGN AWARD 2024!
Gaius launched the commercial electric vehicles Rapide 3 at the end of 2022, which was quickly adopted by major e-commerce platforms and logistics companies, including momo, DHL Taiwan, FedEx Taiwan, and Carrefour Taiwan. Recently, it also received the prestigious iF Design Award from Germany, the world-renowned design prize. Rapide 3 won over the 132-member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world.
Rapide 3 is designed to address the surging last-mile delivery demand while mitigating pollution and congestion linked to the growing sector for fleets and people living in cities. It meets diverse cargo transportation needs thanks to its high speed, huge payload, ample cargo space, agility, extended range, and a patented tilting design that enhances safety and stability during turns and reduces rider fatigue. Rapide 3 combines the agility of a motorcycle and a cargo capacity of a small van, making it become the most efficient vehicle for logistics and postal services. Its adaptability extends to law enforcement, emergency and maintenance.
Following a no-frills design, Rapide 3 presents a professional and confident image for couriers. Its body and chassis use recyclable materials such as ABS, PP, and steel tubes. Impact-prone areas maintain the plastic base color, while other regions allow easy customization to align with brand guidelines. Despite its significant cargo capacity, the rear body design focuses on visual flow, incorporating wing-like elements that gracefully ascend along the sturdy rear frame, creating a dynamic appearance. The exposed rear swing arms proudly showcase the automotive-grade suspension, making it an instantly recognizable feature for users.
Rapide 3 is an innovative electric tricycle for logistics, prioritizing both efficiency and safety. With its expansive cargo box and the nimbleness of a motorcycle, we strive to deliver more packages in one trip while minimizing the number of trips and time spent shuttling between depots and delivery points, ultimately streamlining operations for logistics fleets. The unique tilt design enhances safety and instilling a sense of confidence and enjoyment during their duties. This not only leads to enhanced service quality but also aids businesses in making strides toward their ESGs objectives by making deliveries emission-free.
Gaius, with a focus on promoting sustainable logistics, is not only deeply rooted in the domestic market but also actively expanding into countries such as Japan and Europe. Gaius will participate in major international exhibitions such as Eurobike and EICMA. In addition to the award-winning Rapide 3, Gaius has also announced the upcoming debut of new products.
